Edinburgh Students’ Charities Appeal Chosen Charities 2022/23

14 Jul 2022

UPDATE - Applications have now closed.

Edinburgh Students’ Charities Appeal (ESCA) was founded in 1867 by a group of students from the University of Edinburgh, who were shocked at the impoverished conditions that many Old Town Edinburgh residents found themselves living in.

ESCA has grown significantly since its humble beginnings, and what once focused on collections is now a thriving charitable fundraising organisation.

ESCA funds and supports the core brands of Edinburgh Raising and Giving (RAG) and the Meadows Marathon, as well as allowing other students to get involved in fundraising through support workshops, grant funding, and the Edinburgh Award for Charitable Fundraising.

Edinburgh Students’ Charities Appeal (ESCA) are currently accepting applications for their Chosen Charities 2022/23. ESCA is an Edinburgh based charity who work with students from all 4 Universities to assist in any fundraising endeavours. This academic year their two voluntary student committees - Edinburgh RAG & Meadows Marathon will be working with three charities, which their year’s fundraising will be divided between.

They are interested in applications from UK registered organisations. With this strong, student based following, they would love to share this with organisations who could benefit from this cohort.

Engaging with the student body can be a powerful tool for your organisation's exposure, with your cause being promoted at all charity events and opportunities to come along and promote all the great work you are doing.

They would like to work with organisations willing to engage in any creative involvement outside of general fundraising and have representatives attend events when possible.
