Fence Repair & Garden Tidy up

Based in Midlothian, LASC Childcare Services is a voluntary organisation with Scottish charity status. Our board is made up entirely of local parents and residents.

We opened in Loanhead in October 1995, following a need identified by parents on the Parents Council of the local school for an out-of-school care service. We are very proud of how much we have achieved and expanded since then. We have 6 children’s services registered with the Care Inspectorate, along with a Community Centre and an Additional Support Needs Young Adults Service, supporting over 600 families for 50 weeks of the year.

Our request: Volunteers needed for Fence Repair and Garden Tidy-up

 

We are seeking support to repair our fence, which sustained some damage from recent storms.

We are also seeking volunteers to help with a general tidy-up of the garden, including grass cutting, cleaning the slabs, and light weeding.

High‑quality child care is important because it strengthens children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development during the years when their brains are growing fastest. It gives them the stable, nurturing experiences they need to thrive now and long into adulthood. 

Any support you can offer will help us continue to provide this high-quality care.
