Cundall Support Local Youth Football Club
Craigroyston Community Youth Football Club was founded in 2007 by two parents (who are still involved!).
It was inspired by a desire to be inclusive. The founders felt the bigger clubs only wanted to engage with the best players. They wanted to give anyone with the desire to play football an opportunity.
The Club are based in North Edinburgh and currently has 238 young people registered, ranging from age four upwards.

The Club are deeply rooted in their community, they want to provide opportunities for local young people to help them thrive. Currently there are 15 teams and 36 coaches.
Whilst they offer young people the opportunity to participate in their activities for free, everything they do is underpinned by a sense of community and affordability.
As part of a recent redevelopment of the area, they were relocated to a new premises created by City of Edinburgh Council. Whilst the new facilty provides a great new space, they were lacking basic items like having somewhere to sit, especially in their Community Roomwhich is vital for their club where they were looking for chairs and tables. They approached the ESES Communities Team and added a request on our portal.
'The Match'

Cundall approached the ESES Communities Team via our Portal in early February 2025 as they were embarking on their own office relocation from Semple Street to George Street. As part of their move, they had some good-quality office furniture that was no longer required and were interested in donating it to a local community group. This would help reduce waste, and by repurposing the items, an organisation could save on the cost of furniture.
Cundall is a global, multidisciplinary consultancy that delivers sustainable engineering and design solutions for the built environment. It has 28 locations worldwide and employs over 1,200 consulting engineers and designers.

The result: The donation of furniture has made an immediate difference to the Club and its ability to use the space and deliver its activities.

This donation has made it possible to have a safe space that is fit for all our players, coaches, parents, and supporters. I would like to thank everyone involved in getting us this donation; it really means a lot. An extra thank you to Cundall for donating the furniture.

Cundall seeks every opportunity to reduce the environmental impact of its operations. Therefore, donating this equipment helped to reduce waste and support those helping others within our local community.
