Stratech supports Christmas appeal
In October of 2024, LIFT highlighted that they would appreciate any cash and Jammie donations by early December so they could get everything organised and delivered out to their families in time as each year the demand continues to grow and they are desperate to ensure that children don’t miss out on such an important time of year because of their circumstances.
LIFT were seeking donations towards their "Jammie Packs" as part of a Christmas 2024 appeal to ensure that children in the local area received gifts.
They wanted to make sure that every child going to bed on Christmas Eve had new jammies and a Christmas Eve box containing an essentials shopping voucher, some Christmas Eve fun and a present from Santa.
LIFT (Low Income Families Together) are based in The Muirhouse Millenium Centre in North Edinburgh. They are committed to working in a holistic way with individuals, families and the community. They follow the ‘Every Child, Every Chance’ model.
Stratech, a trusted business within the life science industry, as well as being an award-winning company committed to climate action were keen to offer support and donated £300 to LIFT’s Jammie Appeal. This donation allowed the team at Lift to by the items that were still needed for their target number of packs.
This has been our 7th Year of our Jammie Appeal. We want every child to have new jammies to wear on Xmas eve for Santa coming, we want all the children we come into contact with to feel the magic off Christmas, reindeer food to sprinkle outside so Santa can find them, a biscuit for Santa and a carrot for the reindeers. No matter what poverty is happening in the country children deserve to believe in the Magic of Christmas.
