Community Capacity Hub Requires Assistance

Description

Borders Community Action are a new charity supporting community groups, third sector organisations and volunteers. They are looking to set up a new hub of support to the sector. We exist to offer providing 1-1 support, training, networking and fostering partnerships among third sector organisations, including social enterprises. 

We have a new office space in Central Borders and although we are spread across local communities, we feel the central space will allow us to come together as a team, while bringing the third sector in this new journey with us.  

Our new space required some light work done, such as fresh painting, carpet replacement and lighting improvement.

We want to transform our new space into a knowledge hub so our team is equipped to deal with the needs of the organisations and the volunteers we support. As a new charity, we are operating under a very strict budget. 

We managed to secure a lease at a reduced rate but unfortunately, the space is in need of some improvements as it has been empty since before covid.

We would like to have fresh paint on the walls, replace the carpets and flooring and improve the illumination.

Office equipment and furniture such as; desks, chairs, cupboards, whiteboards and a printer would also be appreciated. 

Any assistance to support this hard-working team would be appreciated.
