Help Bridge the Digital Divide - Donate Your Unused Tech
The Turning Trust, based in Loanhead, Midlothian, is calling on businesses to help make a real difference by donating unused or surplus IT equipment.
Founded by Alan Turing’s family, The Turning Trust is dedicated to bridging the digital divide. From our Loanhead hub, we support communities across Edinburgh and South East Scotland by refurbishing donated technology, equipping it with educational software, and placing it into the hands of those who need it most.
Why Your Donation Matters
Empowering Education
Refurbished devices are distributed to local schools, providing vital tools for learning and opportunity.
Supporting Vulnerable Communities
We create pathways into employment through IT training and volunteering, supporting individuals facing barriers such as poor mental or physical health, homelessness, refugee status, and long-term unemployment.
Reducing Environmental Impact
By reusing and recycling IT equipment, we promote a circular economy and help reduce carbon emissions and e‑waste.
How You Can Help
If your organisation has laptops, desktop computers, monitors, or other IT equipment sitting unused, you can turn them into something truly meaningful.
Rather than letting it gather dust or end up in landfill, your donation can help bridge the digital divide and build a more sustainable future.
