We are Strong4All, a Community Interest Company (CIC), and we run the Edinburgh Strength Collective. Our vision is that "Strength is for Everyone."
We aim to increase inclusion and accessibility in strength sports and training by removing barriers and inviting everyone to participate, regardless of age, ability, background, or other factors.
Why? Strength training improves muscle mass, bone density, metabolism, balance, and overall health, while also supporting mental well-being and longevity.
Our Ask
We're looking for a company or companies to support us financially in procuring and installing a new defibrillator at our community Gym. This defibrillator will be housed in a locked enclosure with key-code access and will also be registered with "The Circuit".
The Circuit allows Emergency dispatchers, such as 999, to direct public callers to access and use the publicly placed units to treat those suffering from cardiac complications.
Research shows that using an AED within 3 to 5 minutes of a cardiac arrest can mean survival rates are as high as 50-70%. You can read more about it here.
