The online session for businesses in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and Scottish Borders, will promote the launch of www.ESESCommunities.org portal, aimed at linking local enterprises with community causes.

Funded by the Edinburgh & South East Scotland City Region Deal, the portal is being launched to assist those businesses wishing to fulfil community benefit commitments but also promote their understanding to both the commercial and not-for-profit sector across the area as a whole. Any business is welcome to join – regardless of whether they are a supplier to the public sector or not and of any industry. 

Contributions do not always need to involve significant financial resource, and can be as simple as offering staff time to volunteer, donating surplus materials or resources, supporting a local event or helping improve a community space. Undertaking such deeds can have a positive impact upon your firm’s public perception, staff wellbeing and will also afford the opportunity of public acknowledgement in online and/or printed media.
