BCA Group Supports Edinburgh Organisations

BCA Insulation

Based in Shotts, BCA Insulation offers solutions such as cavity wall insulation, loft insulation, pipe insulation, and under-floor insulation and are currently working on several projects within Edinburgh.

BCA Insulation demonstrates a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the communities it serves. As Scotland's leading independent insulation specialist, the company's mission extends beyond providing thermal solutions for homes and businesses. This ambition is exemplified by their recent generous donations of phones to two different community organisations, a gesture that provides vital resources and highlights their dedication to improving the wellbeing of the people in the communities they work within.

Richmond’s Hope

Richmond’s Hope are a charity formed in Niddrie, Edinburgh, that supports children and young people aged 4-18 who have suffered a bereavement. They help children individually through their grief using therapeutic play and specialised grief activities.

The support they offer is hugely important to the individuals with one service user sharing.“An amazing and unique service for children where they can open up to someone about their fears in a safe and trusted environment. Richmond’s Hope is life changing.”

The Bereavement Support Team at their East Lothian base in Dunbar needed a phone to stay in touch with families. This could make a real difference to their day-to-day work supporting bereaved children and young people.

The request of a mobile phone enables the team to expand their delivery to those who really can benefit their support.

A huge thank you for donating the iPhone XR! It’s already making a big difference by helping us stay in touch with families, especially when the signal at our base can be patchy at times. We really appreciate your support and kindness—it means a lot to us and the families we work with.

Through ESES Communities, Richmond's Hope received a new iPhone XR, which is used by our Bereavement Support Team at our East Lothian base in Dunbar. This donation has impacted 40 individuals.

Positive Help

The second organisation to receive a mobile phone were Positive Help, who offer practical assistance to those affected by HIV and Hepatitis C. Staff and volunteers work alongside service users to enable them to access treatment and support.

Positive Help was set up in 1989 in response to requests for day-to-day assistance for those living with HIV in the Edinburgh area. Since then, their activities have developed to meet the needs and increasing number of people who use their provision.

The range of individuals they support has broadened and persons needs are changing due to age and backgrounds of those affected by HIV and Hepatitis C in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Their original purpose remains the same though.

Positive Help were advancing their mission to support the community and reduce environmental impact and were looking for more up-to-date smartphones to help run their vital services.

BCA Ltd kindly donated a device which not only supported their programmes but also contributed to reducing e-waste by giving technology a meaningful second life.

We’re incredibly grateful for the generous support we have received. The donated phone will make a genuine difference to our day-to-day work and is essential for running our services. This kind of practical support makes a real, everyday impact, we truly appreciate it - helping us stay connected with both our volunteers and the people we support.

It's great to see that our small token of support is helping these very worthwhile community groups. We are proud to contribute to the important work they do and see these items put to such good use to support the community.
