2B Scientific Supports Friends of Roslin Moat

Roslin Moat serves as a vital local biodiversity site on the outskirts of Roslin, Midlothian, providing a cherished natural retreat for residents and visitors alike. This vibrant green space is championed by the Friends of Roslin Moat, a dedicated group of volunteers committed to the stewardship of nature conservation and the enhancement of local ecology.
Driven by a desire to improve the site’s accessibility and community appeal, the group has sought to install a bench that offers a moment of rest for all who explore the Moat, ensuring the area remains a welcoming destination for the regional community.
Earlier in the year they received financial support from 2B Scientific to help towards signage and information labels for their project. Like many community driven organisations, they are dependant of external financial support from businesses like 2B Scientific to continue their efforts.
We were delighted to hear that 2B Scientific chose to support our wee reserve here in Roslin. It is an important place for the village, providing a quiet place to relax and enjoy nature. The donation will enable us to greatly improve information available about history of and the nature found at the site. When we came across the Friends of Roslin Moat through the ESESCommunities portal we were really taken by what they are doing. As a business with a focus on the environment, this felt like a brilliant opportunity to support something tangible and local. A completely volunteer-run group working to protect a beautiful local biodiversity site deserves all the support it can get.
