Robertson Supports Penicuik Storehouse

When Penicuik Storehouse's only office printer began to fail, it threatened the smooth running of a much-loved community hub. Thanks to support from Robertson Construction, the volunteer-led organisation now has a reliable new printer to help keep its services running efficiently.

Supporting a Community at the Heart of Penicuik

Penicuik Storehouse is a community-owned social enterprise that combines a shop, café and welcoming community space. Run by a dedicated team of volunteers, including many with additional support needs, it offers free meeting space for local groups and hosts a free weekly community meal, helping bring people together while promoting ethical and sustainable trading.

Meeting a Practical Need

The Storehouse's ageing printer was essential for producing operational paperwork, including temperature logs and cleaning schedules, as well as posters and materials for community events. As the printer's functionality declined, replacing it became a priority.

The ESES Communities Team highlighted the request to Robertson as part of community investment activity linked to the University of Edinburgh Easter Bush Campus New National Supercomputer project. Recognising the value of the Storehouse's work, Robertson stepped in to help.

After discussing requirements with the team, Robertson purchased and delivered a new printer, ensuring the organisation could continue its day-to-day operations without disruption.

Lasting Local Impact

The new printer will support the Storehouse's daily activities, helping volunteers communicate effectively, maintain essential records and continue delivering services for the local community.

By donating this printer, Robertson has directly supported our ability to run efficiently, communicate effectively, and continue delivering vital services. You have invested in a compassionate community that is making a real and lasting difference.
