How You Can Help
The hub has become a lifeline for many in the community, and so, the CWC’s priority is to ensure that the premises are kept safe, secure, comfortable, and fit for purpose.
The shutters on the outside of the building are badly in need of replacing.
Those at the back of the building remain permanently closed as they can now no longer be opened as a result of wear and tear.
This does not allow for any natural light to come in. Those that do open are rusty, very heavy, and difficult to manoeuvre.
Having workable and accessible shutters would improve: security, insulation, privacy, controlling light and sound, protecting windows from the elements, and reducing energy consumption. It would also help community members who host in the space to work comfortably and in a supportive environment, while keeping the hub inviting for everyone.
Any help would be hugely appreciated!
