Bowls Midlothian Youth Academy

Bowls Midlothian are the governing body for the game in our County. We support 30 Clubs from West Linton to Musselburgh, you can see the full list here.

The game offers tremendous wellbeing and social, as well as competitive, benefits, and we want to build on recent success, including medals at the Scottish Championships in the Under 18 & 25 Categories. We also have 5 International players.

Children spend so much time in front of screens these days, which makes the benefits of bowls even more valuable. The sport supports mental wellbeing, encourages time outdoors, improves physical health, builds social skills, and creates meaningful intergenerational connections — an outstanding combination for modern times!

How can you help?

Option 1: We are looking for a Headline Sponsor, and your support would help us meet targets through Bowls Buddies and refreshments and snacks after each session.

As a Headline Sponsor, we ask for £500, and in return, you have your profile highlighted on our Socials, which had 250k hits last year.  We will also promote you on our Digital Notice Board at our events.

In addition, we would love to invite your team to attend events and present medals and other awards.

Option 2: Support us in purchasing equipment to promote bowls among young people in Midlothian. Cost: £549.

We are looking to bring a bowls programme into the Active Schools Programme through our qualified coaches. Active Schools is a national initiative in Scotland that aims to increase opportunities for children and young people to participate in sport and physical activity before, during, and after school. The initiative also fosters connections between schools and local sports clubs, encouraging ongoing participation in sports beyond school hours.

We found that using Bowls Buddies aids bring the game to life in schools, and financial support, in part or in full, towards purchasing a 16-bowl kit would be amazing. Cost: £549.

 - The Youth Academy will run from May to September outdoors and then move Indoor for the winter months.

 - We would promote your business on our digital sponsorship board and at our youth events during the season and on our social media channels.

 - We would also be delighted to host a Come & Try Bowls event for your staff and their families.
