Tools and Equipment for Woodland Conservation

ELGT's mission is to provide everyone in Edinburgh and the Lothians with access to quality greenspaces which can help to improve their health and wellbeing. 
They work to promote and improve greenspaces by carrying out projects of all sizes, from planting brand-new parks and woodlands to establishing small community gardens and delivering nature-based activities. 
Their projects are designed to benefit people, wildlife, landscape and heritage.
ELGT aims to engage with communities and partners to enable greenspaces to be more accessible, climate resilient and biodiverse.

 

 

How Can You Support ELGT?

ELGT are looking for an array of gardening tools that would be used for their practical conservation and park/woodland improvement activities that they deliver with their volunteers.

They have itemised their preferred brands as they have found these to be of a much better quality and are more reliable and long-lasting. These are:

Secateurs x 10
Folding Saws x 10
Pole Saw x 2
Shears x 10 (preferred brand: https://www.fiskars.com/en-gb)
Loppers x 10 (preferred brand: https://www.fiskars.com/en-gb)
Edging Tool x 5
Rubber Mallet x 5
Lump Hammer x 5
Outdoor Brush x 3
Rake x 3
Wheelbarrow x 1

Any make, however, would be very welcome. 

In addition, they would also be extremely open to any offers of support to help fix some of their broken tools if that suited a supplier more.
